Regulations change continuously and in order for us to stay compliant we are required to request supporting documentation from you when opening an account or amending personal or bank details with us. This will be more apparent to you the longer you have been a Selftrade customer, as we may request information from you which we haven’t previously.
There are a number of reasons why we require supporting documentation. As the majority of our business is carried out online, we don’t meet our customers face to face so we have to carry out due diligence, verify who you are and comply with anti money laundering regulations. You can be assured that, you, as a customer are also being protected because we are helping to minimise your risk of identity theft by carrying out these checks.
