Keeping you in touch with your investments
It's important to keep a weather eye on your investments. How often you do this will depend, in part, on the type of investments you hold - funds tend to change less frequently than individual shares, and large cap shares like those in the FTSE100 tend to be less volatile than those in the TechMark sector for instance.
However frequently you want to review your holdings, we'll make it easy for you to do.
Company datasheets - direct from your account
Direct from your account, you've access to extensive information to keep you up-to-date.
Click, on the investment name and you'll go straight to our comprehensive data sheet on that company. Latest news about the company; market (regulatory) announcements; price trends, highs and lows over the last 5 days; detailed balance sheet and trading information, including analysts' future forecasts; company contact details ...it's all here in one place.
Plus, as a customer you'll have access to details of Directors' dealings and Analysts' consensus view on the company and a summary of analysts' views too.
Your Profit & Loss - at a glance
Your online account shows your profit or loss on individual investments - at a glance.
When you buy investments through your account we'll automatically include the acquisition cost and calculate your profit / loss. If you've added investments you previously held elsewhere, simply input the acquisition cost and we'll take it from there.
From your account you can also view all your previous orders, check 'open orders' - trades you've asked us to do only if certain conditions are met, and view your online account statement.
Stay alert!
Want to be advised when a share price hits a level at which you'd want to review whether or not to take action? Simply set a price alert and we'll email you when your alert level is hit.
If you're often on the move and your mobile phone allows it, why not set your emails to be routed to your mobile - that way you're in touch wherever you are.
'Price Limit' and 'Stop' orders
When you definitely want to take action should a share price rise or fall to a particular level, use our range of 'limit' and 'stop' orders.
We'll monitor the market and carry out your instruction to buy or sell when your target price is met.If you just want a prompt, set an alert to receive a message instead.
