Our Order Execution Policy applies to all dealing instructions. When giving us instructions to deal on your behalf, you will be deemed to have provided your consent for your orders to be carried out in accordance with the policy.

For customers who opened accounts with Selftrade before 14 November 2011 (‘the Effective Date’), the new Terms and Conditions will apply on 15 December 2011 after the notice period of 30 days from ‘the Effective Date’.

Clarification of Clause 3 (c) of the Privacy Policy: in response to customer queries, this clause has been revised to make it clear that data will only be passed to the respective third party service provider where the customer has requested that service.

As well as updating our Terms, we have changed the way in which money held in your accounts will be treated.
For new customer accounts opened from the Effective Date, money in your account will be held by Selftrade as banker, as Deposit money, and not as trustee under the FSA Client Money rules.
Existing customers will be asked to choose whether to retain Client Money status for existing accounts, or to move this to Deposit status.
Selftrade has become a bank with deposit taking permissions granted by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
For those customers opening an account for the first time with Selftrade on or after 14 November 2011, cash balances will be held as a Deposit with Selftrade (exceptions apply).
Customers who held accounts before 14 November 2011 have the option to hold cash balances as Client Money or as a Deposit with Selftrade.
We cannot advise you on which choice to make, however we can explain the key differences between Client Money and Deposit.
If you would like to use our Watchlist service, you will be asked to accept the following terms and conditions. For our customers these form part of the Terms and Conditions.

The "Selftrade CFD and Spreadbetting Service" is provided by City Index Limited and not by Selftrade. Any resulting contract will be between you and City Index Limited (not Selftrade). Your money is held by us in accordance with the rules of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) either as a deposit in our capacity as a bank or as "Client Money".
Selftrade CFD and Spread Betting service accounts are maintained by City Index Limited and cash balances are held in accordance with the FSAÕs client money rules and deposited with banks selected by City Index.
