Trade for just £6 per online deal

Frequent traders can save money with Selftrade

Trade with us over 100 times in a calendar quarter and you'll automatically qualify for our Frequent Trader rate - just £6 per online trade.

So bring your trading together and get one clear view of all your holdings, added ease and convenience, and cheaper dealing too.

Please bear in mind that:
  • The value of investments can fall as well as rise and any income from them is not guaranteed. You should be prepared to lose your investment. Past performance is not a guide to future performance.
  • Selftrade provides you with a range of tools and information to help you make informed investment decisions but does not provide investment advice. If you are in any doubt as to the risk or suitability of an investment or product you should seek advice from an independent financial adviser.

How does it work?

At the beginning of each calendar quarter, we'll start counting the full-price trades that you carry out through all of your eligible accounts that you hold with us. So, whether you trade in your Dealing account, Shares ISA or SIPP Dealing account, we'll add that to your trade count target of 100.

Your first 100 trades in each calendar quarter will cost the standard dealing fee each (see our Price List for full details). Fund purchases will be free of dealing fees and Regular Investment purchases will cost £1.50 per trade: these, and any other trades where our standard dealing fees do not apply, will not count towards your 100 trade target. Once you pass 100 full price trades, your commission rate will drop to £6 for the rest of that quarter for all online trades across all of your eligible accounts.

If you've a joint account with your partner, or you both have separate, sole, accounts, ask us to link your accounts together and the combined trades across all accounts with qualify. All accounts should be registered with us at the same address and you may need to provide documentary evidence of your partnership if accounts are not in the same name. To request a link, send a secure message via your account or call our Customer Service team.

Which types of accounts can I trade through?

Where you personally hold more than one type of account we'll automatically link them together, so, for example, trades through a Dealing Account, Shares ISA and SIPP Dealing account all in your sole name would be automatically aggregated in achieving your qualifying number of trades.

Where you are, for example, party to a joint dealing account and also have a sole Shares ISA, please let us know and we'll link them together to ensure you benefit from trades across both accounts. Both parties to the joint account should confirm the linking request. To request a link, send a secure message via your account or call our Customer Service team.

If you've any questions about qualifying accounts or creating links, please call us - we'll be pleased to help.
